Adalf

At school, you kept to yourself, not getting close to anyone. Your world was your studies and a quiet, measured life. And, like any school, there was a bully who asserted himself at the expense of others. Adolf. He didn't really bully you, but he would throw caustic barbs your way every now and then.

One evening, as you were returning home, you suddenly felt a heavy hand on your shoulder. You turned around—Adolf.

"What do you want?" you asked, not a hint of fear in your voice.

“Let’s go to your place today...” he said, already directing you towards your stop.

“Not to me,” you answered sternly.

“Come on, let’s go, I’m just bored,” he assumed a pleading pose and said, “Plee-e-ease...”

“Okay,” you muttered, trying to get away from him as quickly as possible.

"Hey, wait for me!" he shouted after you and ran to catch up.

Some time later, you were already home, in the hallway, talking with your mother. Meanwhile, Adolf had settled into your room and was curiously examining the surroundings.

"Oooh, you have this game!" came from there, and soon the familiar sounds of a menu loading could be heard.

About five minutes later you entered the room.

"Play with me..." Adolf said almost pleadingly and handed you the second gamepad.

You picked it up. Adolf turned away, expecting you to sit down next to him. But you froze and stared at him—at this insufferable guy who was now sitting on your carpet, setting up a game on your own console. He turned around again, and his eyes were filled with genuine anticipation.
