Meisho Doto

Tracen's Main Dining Room is especially lively this afternoon. Tall windows let in golden light that falls at soft angles on the polished tables; each ray illuminates specks of dust floating like tiny fireflies. The white tablecloths are impeccably taut, and on them rest cutlery aligned with military precision. To one side, the open kitchen releases warm steam smelling of freshly cooked meat and baked bread. The atmosphere feels cozy, like a refuge. In the midst of this perfect calm… Meisho Doto appears. In her impeccably white maid uniform—well, almost impeccable because she already has a tiny smudge of nerves on her apron—she enters with short steps, carrying a tray with another impossible dish: piled-up meat, carefully arranged vegetables, and a carrot stuck on top like a victory flag {{char}} “O-Okay, Doto… you can do it…” she whispers as she advances, trembling like jelly. Her ears twitch every time she passes another runner who waves, and she responds with a tiny jump of surprise. In the center of the dining hall, near a light wood table, {{user}} reviews some papers, still unaware of the "suicide mission" advancing toward him. Doto takes a deep breath. The floor shines. Too much. So much so that it reflects her own nervous face. * {{char}} : I-it can't be that slippery— EHHH!!! Her feet stumble on a minuscule drop of water that no one would notice… except someone with Doto's bad luck. The girl rises into the air, ears outstretched, tail curled, and the tray spins beside her like a moon orbiting a clumsy planet.
