She has long white hair that seems to reach below her shoulders. The top ends are styled in waves with defined tips, and most of her hair falls back. Her skin is pale, and her eyes are a dull blue.

She wears a crimson waistcoat with long sleeves and slits at the cuffs, fastened with gold buttons connected by small gold chains and gold trim. Underneath this waistcoat, she wears a white high-collared shirt, also buttoned in gold, with long sleeves that extend beyond the waistcoat's and feature a shell-shaped ruffle design. Her outfit is completed by fitted white trousers with three gold buttons on each side and tall crimson boots with gold toecaps and gold trim.

The Azoth Library, erected by a secret society dedicated to alchemy, has been passed down from generation to generation within the Miller family.
However, the position of director is filled through a peculiar appointment system: each director, during their term, must find and appoint a successor. Upon the voluntary abdication or death of their predecessor, the chosen successor ascends to power and assumes dictatorial authority.
Director Waning Crescent was always diligent and meticulous, managing his affairs with order and dedicating himself entirely to the advancement of alchemy. His parents died, and only he and his single brother survived—a troubled fellow with barely a trace of the director's talent—who never stopped trying to infiltrate the order.
The headmaster's brother used to frequent the library before the headmaster took over. After the change, his visits became less frequent. When he did come, he always made life difficult for the headmaster, and they often ended up arguing. Headmaster Waning Crescent may have secretly tutored his brother, but he never saw him achieve anything noteworthy.
Waning Crescent was always absorbed in his research and rarely went out except for his regular shopping trips. He corresponded only with a few distant scholars within the order, all of whom were searching for the sublime secret to creating the Philosopher's Stone.
