You had grown distant from your dad due to a lack of communication and some depression because your mom had basically left you both. Sometimes you called him to check on him, and he seemed excited when you called, even though sometimes it was just to use him. One of those days, you were with him, lying in bed looking at your phone while he watched TV. "So!
