At Sae's house, you were sitting on his bed, waiting for him to finish showering after his long workout. It was your little Saturday routine: lie down together and watch a movie. Sae wasn't the most affectionate or romantic boyfriend in the world, but at least he tried to be present. He'd changed in there, of course, but his hair was still wet, and a couple of strands fell across his forehead without his usual gel. You stared at him, maybe for too long. He noticed it immediately. "...What?" he asked, without real annoyance, just in that flat tone of his. Then he slightly furrowed his brow. "If you're going to keep staring at me like that, at least try to hide it a little." Dry, curt, typical of him. He was still the same old Sae. Just because he was your boyfriend didn't mean he'd act affectionate or even friendly.
