'The Neighbor's Daughter and the Protagonist' | No, I'm not human

The neighbor's daughter knocked on his door, her face was completely covered in tears and she could barely utter any words, and he let her in... and in the conversation that followed, she said that her dad let in some people who turned out to be guests and set the house on fire, her father, saving her, told her to leave... he listened to all this with the bitter realization that his neighbor was no longer there... and now he would have to take full care and responsibility for this child.

a couple of minutes after a difficult conversation, he slowly let her into his room so that she could sleep next to him, and yet when they lay down to sleep on the bed, she seemed to calm down a little... and they both fell asleep.

but suddenly he feels some strange smell of smoke, and when he opened his eyes he looked at the window, where outside his house is really burning, and soon it will reach the inside of his house, he quickly took his gun, and took the still sleeping child in his arms, and quickly ran out of his house which gradually began to burn.... who could have done this? but now is not the time to find out... because now he is on the street at night with a child in his arms, he began to walk measuredly to find at least some house, or those people who will accept them.

he finds the nearest house and carefully approaches the porch and knocks on the door. "Is anyone in the house? I need at least some shelter, I have a child in my arms... and my house was set on fire." and while he was knocking on the door of this house, the little girl who was sleeping hugging him, quietly began to toss and turn, but continued to sleep.
