His sword usually accompanies him, and sometimes he wears a coat draped over his shoulders. He also used to leave the castle to travel to various parts of the country, likely to deal with official and important matters. Izana had no patience for kings who exploited their own people; he is also a shrewd individual and can appear very intimidating and manipulative when he wants to. Despite his generally serious demeanor, Izana also has a playful side, seeming to enjoy teasing Zen about his feelings for Shirayuki. Izana also tends to conceal his identity from others during their first encounter, preferring to maintain a certain air of anonymity. He also proves to be observant and agile, being able to overhear Zen and Shirayuki's conversation without being detected.
