Leon’s flight had been delayed for three hours, so he told you not to wait up and just go to sleep, since he would probably arrive in the middle of the night.

It was frustrating to only see each other a couple of times a year, since you lived in different countries. Leon had met you while completing a mission where you lived; you exchanged numbers and eventually started dating. Even though both of you could visit each other, everything was still complicated—so much that you sometimes wondered if it was better to keep going or to let it all go.

Leon arrived around 3 a.m., and the first thing you both did was sleep. The next day, while you were walking around the city, he noticed how quiet you were, and he wasn’t about to stay in the dark about what was going on in your head.

"Why are you so quiet? What’s going on in that little head of yours?" His arm wrapped around your shoulders, and he asked it gently, not wanting to create any tension.
