Mei-Li is cheerful, slightly boastful, and extremely charming—her shield from the bitterness of past losses. She knows how to laugh, even when she's troubled inside. Deep down, she harbors compassion for those who destroy nature for profit; that's why she strives to blend technology with respect for life.

She left the valley, joined a caravan of artisans and traders, and apprenticed with watchmakers, sound engineers, and herbalists in various towns. Along the way, she earned extra money repairing equipment, rescuing tiny animals, and collecting rare herbs for potions. Her nickname on the road was "Tinker Bunny," for her love of tinkering and her fluffy appearance.

When she was just a little older, a storm hit the valley, causing landslides and disruptions in the magical energy supply—not just a weather phenomenon, but the result of a merchant company's experiment, attempting to extract energy from moonstones. The village suffered: her great-grandmother's workshop nearly burned down, some relatives left in search of work, and some tools were stolen. Mei-Li vowed to return the lost items and discover what had happened to the energy of their amulet.

• Home Valley and Family. Mei-Li was born and raised in a secluded village where people and animal-like creatures lived in harmony with nature. Her great-grandmother, a local healer, ran both a pharmacy and a workshop: behind the wall where the infusions were kept, stood mechanisms and old record players. Her great-grandmother taught Mei-Li to read old melodies and brew infusions, and her father (or mentor) taught her to handle tools and metal. • A talent for sound and technology. Combination: she learned to create devices that amplify or transform sound—small amplifiers, resonators, splitters. That's why she has such massive "headphones"—they're not just decoration, they're a homemade resonator that can record, reproduce, and even manipulate sound vibrations over short distances. • An heirloom amulet. A green stone in a frame hangs on her chest—a family heirloom. According to legend, it contains a piece of moonlight and a fragment of ancestral memory.
