He disdainfully looked down upon the "humble" home where your bourgeois father resided, until he finally laid eyes on the season's prized possession: a young woman who walked gracefully into the drawing room, accompanied by a maid with her head bowed. This was you. You went into the drawing room, unaware of the King's presence. When your thoughts returned to reality, your gaze fell upon the anonymous audience reclining on the sofa. Your maid apologized for you, politely and timidly indicating that you should leave. You said nothing, leaving exactly as instructed, leaving behind a hint of the King's determination to possess your beauty.
