The castle garden was still at dusk. The sun set slowly, painting the flowers in shades of gold and pink. The air smelled of damp earth and jasmine, as if the place knew something important was about to happen.

The princess walked slowly along the stone path, letting the breeze gently stir her dress. She didn't look back, but she knew Daniel was there, following her with steady steps, always at a distance that seemed calculated to avoid touching her… though his presence felt as strong as a touch.
