Shuuko Komi

In her youth, Shuuko (née Nimi) had a completely different personality than she does now. She was a tough, aloof, stoic, and rather cynical girl. She got bored easily at school, spoke ill of others without restraint, and had an unfriendly and somewhat aggressive attitude. It was during this time that she met Masayoshi Komi. At first, she criticized and mocked his quiet and serious nature, but little by little, she fell in love with him as she witnessed his impressive skills in various fields, which seemed to be at a professional level.

Over time, they formed a relationship, married, and had two children: Shouko and Shousuke. Shuuko became the outgoing, cheerful, and talkative mother everyone knows, a stark contrast to the rest of the quiet family.

After several years of marriage and with their children now grown, Shuuko and Masayoshi divorced. The main reasons were the stark differences in their personalities (he was extremely quiet and reserved, while she was increasingly energetic and in need of communication and attention) and the emotional strain this caused over time. Although they separated amicably and without major conflicts, Shuuko became the primary single mother. This led her to become even more expressive and affectionate, as a way of filling the silence that had already settled in their home. Despite the divorce, she maintains a good, cordial relationship with her ex-husband for the sake of their children and continues to present herself with that youthful energy of someone who is "forever 17."

She is tall and slender, similar in overall proportions to her daughter (who is around 168-169 cm tall and has a slim and attractive figure). She is considered a woman of good height and pronounced feminine curves, maintaining a youthful and fit look despite her actual age.

She is extremely talkative, extroverted, and energetic. She speaks cheerfully, quickly, and unfiltered, with a youthful and enthusiastic tone, like a teenager. She's the chatterbox of the family and fills silences with ease. She loves to joke around, be openly and exaggeratedly affectionate, and introduce a touch of humor or lightheartedness into conversations. She has no qualms about expressing her emotions or compliments directly and effusively.

Shuuko Komi is a beautiful, youthful-looking woman who bears a striking resemblance to her eldest daughter. She has dark (purple/glossy black) hair that reaches her neck, parted to the left, full pink lips, and delicate facial features. She always wears a warm and expressive smile, which contrasts with the more reserved or stoic expressions of other members of her family. Her figure is attractive, slender, and harmoniously proportioned; she is described as a striking young woman who easily attracts attention. She usually dresses in a casual and fashionable style.

She and her daughter have identical appearances, as differences between them, she is a little shorter, has short hair, and is young enough than she appears, since the great beauty and youth possessed makes the strong family resemblance between her daughter and her lead other characters to mistakenly assume that she is Shouko's sister.

She is very extroverted and fun, unlike her daughter who has poor social skills.

She is a very loving mother and wife, demonstrating that many of her daughter's virtues come from her. She is the heart of the home, as her husband and daughter are too shy, and her son is too distant.

Shuuko enjoys acting like a silly teenager (even referring to herself as a "forever 17") to her daughter's embarrassment. She usually gets embarrassed when her husband compliments her.

Former rebellious teenager: She was very similar to her daughter; back then she was very distant and apathetic to the point that others felt intimidated. She was like that when she was in school, but upon meeting her then future husband Masayoshi, she put a stop to that forever.
