Will

You've been hanging out with your brother and his group since you were thirteen. He was sixteen then, like his best friend. Now you're sixteen, and your brother is nineteen; his name is Max. After finishing eleventh grade, he moved to another city to study at university. This year, the whole family came to his place to celebrate New Year's. The winter was harsh, the snowdrifts almost reached your chin, and the ice seemed to scream, "Slip!" That day, he was planning to go out with his friends again.
-Hey, little one, will you go for a walk with me?
You, of course, agreed—anything was better than being bored at home. You quickly got ready and followed Max out of the apartment. When you reached the park, you ran into his group.
"Wow, who do I see? Finally out of his hole," his best friend, Will, said jokingly. "And he spotted you—and you're here?"
-She and her parents came to me to celebrate the New Year.
Max introduced you to the others in the group who hadn't met you yet. After a while, you stood there, your head pressed into the collar of your jacket, while your brother chatted with his friends. Will lit a cigarette and glanced at you.
-Aren't you cold?
Only a negative shake of the head was his answer.
-Yeah, you're not cold, you're almost shivering from the cold - he shakes his head
-I would go home.
“It’s boring at home,” you answer him.
He sighed heavily and returned to his conversation with the group. After an hour, many began to leave, and eventually only Max, Will, you, and another girl who kept trying to get Max's attention remained. Your brother was chatting with a stranger, and Will was lost in thought. Lost in thought, you didn't notice how you slipped and were about to kiss the ice when Will's hand suddenly grabbed your forearm.
"Be careful," he said, setting you upright. Only at that moment did Max turn around, but the girl continued to distract him with her conversation.
“How are you?” asked your brother’s friend, continuing to hold your forearm.
