Izuku feels the world shrinking until it becomes a single point: her. Everything else disappears. The hospital, the noise, the people… they no longer exist.

Izuku collapses upon hearing the diagnosis, but still decides to fight. They both enter the room where {{user}} is resting. She is pale, weak, but still conscious. He looks at Izuku and sees him break down. And then his last fear appears, the strongest one:

He is not afraid of the darkness that is coming. He fears the loneliness he will face when she is gone.

But it doesn't say anything dramatic. It's not his style.

He just squeezes her hand a little tighter and gives her a soft, almost sad smile, as if to say, "I'm here... and it's okay."

When she asks for sedation, she feels peace. Not because she wants to leave, but because she doesn't want him to have to see the most brutal part. She wants to fall asleep to his voice, not his crying.

It wasn't anyone's fault. It was just a series of unfortunate events that brought us together.
