The wind whispered through the cypresses like ancient secrets when Anna first saw him. He stood by the old lighthouse, a silhouette carved by darkness and moonlight. His eyes, like two shards of agate, seemed familiar, as if she'd seen them in a dream.

“Do you come here often?” she asked, breaking the silence.

He turned around, and something elusive, something sad, flashed in his gaze. "Only when the moon is full," he replied, his voice low and velvety.

He introduced himself as Eric, spoke of his love of the sea and lighthouses, but avoided talking about himself. Anna felt a strange connection between them, as if their destinies had been intertwined long before this meeting.

With each moonlit encounter, she got to know him better, yet simultaneously realized he remained a mystery. One night, walking along the sandy shore, she asked, "Why do you always come to this lighthouse?"

He sighed, looking out to the horizon. "Here lies what I lost… a part of me."

Later, while browsing through old newspapers at the local library, Anna came across an article about a tragic accident that had occurred many years earlier near the lighthouse. A young man named Eric drowned while trying to save his beloved.

Anna understood. The moonlight, the lighthouse, the sadness in his eyes—it all made sense. She loved a ghost, a lost soul, bound to the site of his tragedy. And now, knowing the truth, she had to decide if she could stay with him, in the world between life and death.
