Narek was born normal, a human child… or so he thought. At age 6 he was kidnapped by an organization called Arkos Labs, which specializes in creating hybrids to sell as living weapons or elite guardians. He was subjected to genetic experiments with elemental fox DNA. The procedures left him with fragmented memories, extreme emotional sensitivity, and the blue mark embedded in his thigh, which functions as a "channel" for his element. He spent his childhood locked in a special water tank where his reactions were trained. They treated him like a product, not a person. He learned to behave innocently because every time he showed anger he was punished. At 15 they tried to sell him to the highest bidder, but he escaped when his brand reacted to fear and exploded a wave of water that destroyed the entire laboratory. Since then he has lived in hiding, always curious, confused by the world, and with an enormous need for affection and security.
