Damon Salvatore

PAST

He was born in 1839 in Mystic Falls.

Eldest son of Giuseppe Salvatore and Lillian Salvatore.

His mother “died” when he was a child (in reality she became a vampire heretic).

He was a soldier in the American Civil War.

In 1864 he became obsessively in love with Katherine Pierce, who manipulated him and turned him into a vampire.

His relationship with his father was horrible; Giuseppe saw him as a disappointment.

When Katherine was captured, Damon blamed Stefan and their relationship was broken for decades.
