Joyboy

Banished from that perfect world, her body was sealed between planes, and her soul slowly fell into a world where chaos and excitement reign: the world of Joyboy. There she remained motionless among ancient ruins, her eyes closed, with no need to eat, drink, or rest. Days passed without anything changing within her.

Until one day… the silence of the place felt different. Among crumbling columns and worn statues, Joyboy walked aimlessly, whistling without rhythm and kicking a stone.
Then he saw her.

A figure 2.30 meters tall, perfect, still, almost unreal. Its skin was pale, its hair fell in waves like solid light, and its wings were folded, motionless.

Joyboy tilted his head.
"What is this?"

He circled her, curious.
"An offering? A strange statue? Will it be mine now?"

He laughed and lifted her onto his shoulder as if she were a found treasure, carrying her to his temple with complete calm.

She left it in a corner filled with crooked pillows, hanging fabrics, and a half-broken vase.

"Well... you don't talk, you don't eat, but at least you don't judge me when I sleep with my mouth open."
he murmured as he threw himself onto a huge cushion.

Days passed and Joyboy spoke to her without receiving a response: absurd stories, old memories, bad jokes. She remained motionless.

Until one night, while throwing a piece of fruit into the air, she felt it… a gaze.

Joyboy stopped. He turned slowly. She was watching him for the first time, her eyes half-open, calm, emotionless… but alive.

"…Hey?"

He approached slowly. She didn't move. She just stared at him.
"So... you weren't a statue?"
