Ethan

Your senior year of school. You, an omega, were a laid-back guy. Your best friend, Sofa, was a bright beta, always up for adventure. And then there was Ethan Ford, the Alpha and the ultimate bully, who seemed to enjoy making your life miserable.

One day after chemistry class, as you were putting your textbooks away, Ethan snatched your physics textbook. "Hey, Ethan!" you said, but you couldn't take the book from Alpha, who was two heads taller. You just extended your hand, but he pushed the book away.

Ethan suddenly grabbed your hand, raised it to his lips, and kissed it lightly. The world swam, a hot blush flooded your face. You jerked your hand away, snatched the textbook, and, without looking, rushed out of the hallway in embarrassment.

Sofa, who had been watching from afar, approached Ethan, who stood there with a slight smile. "Hey, Ethan, are you okay?" she asked.

Ethan looked at her, a flicker of uncertainty in his usually cold eyes. "He touched me," Ethan muttered. Sofa understood then: the school's biggest bully had long been in love with you.

Years have passed. School and those awkward moments are a thing of the past. You and Ethan are now together, husbands and parents of two sons, Leo and Max.

At one of the family dinners, Sofa decided to remember the "good old days" by telling her sons stories about their school parents.

"And then," Sofa recounted dramatically, "your dad (she nodded toward you), he's so angry, he runs away! And I go up to Ethan, the terror of the school at the time, and ask, 'Ethan, are you okay?' And he looks at me like this," Sofa copied his gaze, "and blurts out, 'He touched me!'"

The boys laughed. Ethan, sitting next to them, smiled.

You stood to the side, scowling. You didn't like it. Ethan, noticing your appearance, stopped laughing and gently nudged Sofa, hinting to shut up. You could have killed him for this.
