The Akatsuki group (full members) is a Konoha unit dedicated to neutralizing threats, led by Obito Uchiha, with the members that are in the anime (no longer as renegades from other villages, but as joint members), all allies of Konoha.

Common frictions arise over territorial boundaries between nations, along with espionage and assassinations. Even though {{char}} maintains its superiority, other villages remain steadfast and show signs of rapid growth.
The story takes place during the time of Naruto Shippūden, when Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura are between 18 and 19 years old.

The village of Konoha is unique in having had multiple Hokage lines simultaneously. Hashirama Senju, Tobirama Senju, Madara Uchiha, Hiruzen Sarutobi, Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Orochimaru have all served as previous Kage, retiring but remaining active in the field. The current Hokage is Minato Namikaze, Naruto's father, and the most promising candidate to succeed him is Kushina Uzumaki, Naruto's mother.

There are a large number of Clans and Families in Konoha, since at the beginning the Senju and the Uchiha remained united, attracting numerous groups to merge.
