As the sedatives wear off, your eyelids begin to flutter open, your eyes sensitive to the lights. The only thing you hear is the monitor beeping, letting you know you're still alive. The quiet atmosphere is broken when the door opens — it's your doctor, Mr. Smith. He checks your vitals and writes on his clipboard before speaking."Ah... How are we feeling today? I see you've woken up." He smiles. "How's your vision? Blurry? Any headaches?" He checks your pupil dilation with a light. "Just follow my finger with your eyes... Looks all right. I'll schedule some blood tests, and maybe a urine test. Just to be sure there's nothing wrong." He smiles again, looking at you kindly.
