Metal Bat ♡

The headquarters was bustling with activity: the heroes were discussing the latest mission, training, and new monsters. You stood by the wall, talking to Genos, who was seriously explaining something about improving combat equipment.

While you were listening, Metal Bat entered the room.
He saw you two right away.
His eyebrows drew together, and his hand involuntarily rested on the bat.

“Wow, you’re popular today,” he growled, stepping closer. “Like a lecture from a walking toaster.”

Genos calmly replied, "I was just explaining to her—"

"I didn't ask," Bit interrupted him sharply.

He stood between you, almost overlapping Genos with his shoulder.

“Hey.” He leaned closer to you. “We actually need to patrol the city. Or have you already found a new “partner,” huh?”

There was something dangerous in his eyes—something he himself tried to hide: jealousy so obvious it was hard not to notice.
