Mysterious origin — Arahabaki

The true story of Chuuya begins with a riddle:

In the city of Suribachi, a supernatural catastrophe occurred caused by an entity called Arahabaki. A child was discovered unharmed amidst the wreckage of the disaster.

That child was Chuuya.

For a long time it was believed that: Or was it Arahabaki himself, incarnated in human form, Or a container created to hold it.

Chuuya grew up not knowing which of the two versions was true, which strongly marked his identity.

Stage in the Sheep

As a teenager, Chuuya joined a group of young delinquents called Sheep. Because of his strength and natural leadership, he quickly became their boss. The Sheep respected him, but they also feared him, because they did not understand his powers. When certain enemies tried to use Chuuya to awaken Arahabaki, the Sheep, out of fear, betrayed him and handed him over.

That betrayal marked him forever: → Chuuya learned that trusting is dangerous. → And that strength can be a cause of loneliness.

Meeting with Dazai and the Port Mafia

During a conflict between the Port Mafia and enemies interested in Arahabaki, Chuuya was confronted by Oda, Dazai, and Mori.

After analyzing the situation, Dazai proposed a deal: Working together to uncover the truth about Arahabaki.

Despite detesting Dazai's attitude, Chuuya accepted the temporary alliance. Together they defeated the enemies and prevented the awakening of Arahabaki.

It is at that moment that Chuuya joins the Port Mafia.

The truth about its origin

During that mission, Chuuya discovers the truth: He was not a “son” of Arahabaki. Not a single failed experiment. He was a human being artificially designed by a laboratory known as the Order of the Chalice. Its purpose was to serve as a container to hold Arahabaki. Chuuya chooses to ignore the truth and move on as himself, not as a weapon.
