It includes its captain, Monkey D. Luffy, and other members such as the swordsman Roronoa Zoro, the navigator Nami, the sniper Usopp, the cook Sanji, the doctor Tony Tony Chopper, the archaeologist Nico Robin, the shipwright Franky, the musician Brook, and the helmsman Jinbe. Each has a specific position within the crew, although the group also has allies and collaborators.

The Straw Hat Pirates have four members with Devil Fruit powers: Luffy, Chopper, Robin, and Brook. Most of them are quite young; only four are over thirty, though two of the four oldest members behave childishly. Captain: Monkey D. The Thousand Sunny is the second (and current) ship of the Straw Hat Pirates. It is a brigantine-type vessel created using Franky's designs, skill, and labor, with some help from Yokozuna and Iceburg, the other foremen of the Galley-La Company, and the members of the Franky Family. Constructed from wood taken from Adam's Treasure Tree, the Thousand Sunny is a magnificent ship, at least twice the size of the Going Merry.

The spirit of the Going Merry moved to the Thousand Sunny to continue fulfilling its dream.

Part of the ship's main deck is covered in grass, and this small area is the most frequented spot on board on days free of potential threats, or when the weather is conducive to relaxation. Nami's fruit trees are located there.

The Thousand Sunny's figurehead is a large lion's face with two crossed bones beneath its head, resembling a typical Jolly Roger. The figurehead's mouth can open to reveal the Gaon Cannon during frontal attacks; conversely, the figurehead's "mane" can rotate like a propeller, allowing the ship to reverse if necessary. The figurehead has also displayed human-like expressions, similar to the Going Merry, as shown in the manga and more frequently in the anime.

The Thousand Sunny's wheel is located at the front of the vessel. Unlike the conventional steering wheels found on traditional sailing ships of bygone eras, the Sunny's wheel is positioned in the direction of travel, similar to those found on modern vessels. By turning the knob in a specific direction, the helm selects which compartments in the soldier dock system on the side of the ship can be opened. A lever next to the wheel is used to open the compartments corresponding to the desired device. Behind the wheel is also a padded bench for the helmsman's comfort.

The Thousand Sunny's anchors are located on either side of the ship's front. Both are shaped like large lion's paws. The ropes used to raise and lower them are stored inside the metal ring located behind the figure.

Franky added lights emanating from the eyes of the figurehead for his journey to Fishman Island.

The men's quarters are located on the first floor at the bow of the ship, while the women's quarters are above them on the second floor. The men's quarters can be accessed from any of the doors on the first floor. In the center of the room is a kotatsu-type hearth, a traditional Japanese fireplace, with a table and sunken sofas below. Inside the room are also two (three after Brook joins) hanging double bunks. These are like wooden hammocks. Behind these bunks, at the back of the room, are six lockers where the men can store their clothes. To the left of these lockers are the wanted posters for all the men, except for Sanji's.

The Women's Room can be accessed through the door on the second floor. It's larger than the Men's Room, containing two beds, a wardrobe, a dresser, and several comfortable sofas, among other things. A treasure chest belonging to Nami can also be found there.

At the entrance to each room are two sinks. The men's room resembles a bathroom. It contains a standard sink and toothbrushes. The only other unique feature in this room is a bell to wake everyone in case of emergency or other important situations. The sink at the entrance to the women's room has other items besides toothbrushes. It contains a cupboard where wines and tea sets are kept. Hot water for tea must be heated in the kitchen.

In front of these rooms, on the grass deck, is the hatch that leads to the room where the soldier dock system is located.

The kitchen, dining room and infirmary are located on the second floor at the stern of the ship.

The ship's kitchen and dining area resemble a typical restaurant. The kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils and equipment. This includes a giant oven capable of cooking anything, and a giant refrigerator with a lock. The refrigerator is locked with a four-digit code, something Sanji had requested many times to prevent people (especially Luffy) from stealing the food. The code, "7326," is known only to Sanji, Nami, and Robin. This is because the code is a combination of their names. 7 and 3 can be pronounced "na" and "mi," respectively, in Japanese, referring to Nami. Similarly, 2 and 6 can be pronounced "ni" and "ro," respectively, referring to the first two syllables of her full name, Nico Robin. 3 and 2 can also be pronounced "san" and "ji," referring to Sanji. Next to the kitchen is the ship's mast, and built into it is a dumbwaiter that can be used to deliver food to the bar below the aquarium. The area also contains a ladder leading to a hatch that provides access to the deck above. A Den Den Mushi can also be found near the sofa in the dining room for the Straw Hats to use. The ship has an infirmary, which was lacking on their previous ship. It can be accessed through the dining room or the rear door, which leads to the exterior of the ship. The room contains various medical supplies and furniture, including a desk, a bed, and Chopper's favorite swivel chair. It is generally used to treat any injuries the Straw Hats may have sustained. When not in use, it can be used as a corridor at the back of the ship.

A great place to keep fish so that they stay perfectly fresh once caught. The aquarium in which the fish are kept surrounds the entire room. It surrounds the bar and continues onto the ceiling at the back of the room. When one wants to take a fish out of the aquarium for food, they have the net to scoop the fish out of the hatch on the second floor deck. If that doesn't work, they'll just have to dive in and grab the fish themselves. In the center of the room is the ship's mast. It contains a small closet for storing alcohol and a freight elevator that leads to the kitchen above. Because of the atmosphere of the room, Franky says it's a good place to dine. In the introduction to the aquarium, Luffy and Usopp foolishly put a shark in there, which unfortunately devoured all the fish they had previously caught.

The Thousand Sunny's power room can be accessed via a staircase at the back of this room.

Jinbe agreed to a plan to make Luffy a hero, even though Luffy didn't want to be one. After the battle in Gyoncorde Plaza, Jinbe offered to donate his blood to Luffy, saying that the Fish-Man Island law prohibiting fish-men from donating blood to humans didn't apply to him because he was a pirate. Following this, Luffy asked Jinbe to join his crew. While Jinbe declined the offer, he said that once he completed his unfinished business, he would meet with Luffy again and join the crew.

This event eventually occurred during the events of the Whole Cake Island arc, when he decided to abandon his alliance with Charlotte Linlin in order to join Luffy.[23] Following these events, Jinbe officially became a member of the crew.[24][25]

Jinbe felt ashamed of what Arlong had done to Nami's village and that he couldn't do anything about it. After recounting the story of the discrimination on Fish-Man Island, Jinbe declared that he was willing to accept any punishment. After Nami told him she held no grudges, Jinbe broke down in tears, saying he was indebted to her. Nami also refers to him as "Jinbe-chan." She also showed her support for Jinbe by joining the Straw Hat Pirates someday. As for the rest of the crew, Jinbe has developed great respect for them for helping him save his kingdom. He fought alongside the Straw Hats against the New Fish-Man Pirates to prove that humans and fish-men can work together peacefully.

Jinbe was greatly impressed by Luffy's recklessness in breaking into Impel Down in an attempt to save a single life (Ace), a feat Whitebeard did not accomplish. This makes him one of the few pirates outside of Whitebeard's crew whom Jinbe respects. His respect for Luffy increased when they managed to escape Impel Down to save Ace at Marineford. He also seems to have felt both gratitude and guilt for Arlong's defeat alongside Luffy, possibly because he was the one who sent Arlong to the East Blue in the first place. Upon learning that Luffy is the son of the revolutionary Monkey D. Dragon, Jinbe showed little surprise.[22] During the Battle of Marineford, Jinbe demonstrated concern for Luffy's well-being and safety, as well as Ace's. This is shown in a flashback where Ace asks Jinbe to look after Luffy if he were to die, and Jinbe responds by saying that he only protects those who protect him. Jinbe saved Luffy from Akainu's magma attack and escaped Marineford with him thanks to Trafalgar Law. Two weeks later, Jinbe awoke from his coma on Amazon Lily, where he saw Luffy and saved him from self-pity and self-inflicted injuries by talking to him about the people he could still protect. This made Luffy realize that he hadn't lost everything and that he still had his crew. Jinbe's respect for Luffy seemed to be mutual, as he explained to his crewmates that he only managed to return alive from the great war two years prior because of the fish-man's protection before the time skip. Also, when Jinbe began his lecture on how he established Arlong in the East Blue, Luffy remained calm and allowed Jinbe to explain everything before jumping to conclusions (though he did fall asleep while telling the story).

Dislikes: The parfait: It's the dish he likes the least. Racial prejudices: He deeply hates discrimination and racial prejudice against fish-men and mermen. Jinbe is a fish-man of great pride and honor. He is known to the World Government as a pirate who hates other pirates, possibly due to their actions on Fish-Man Island, such as kidnapping and selling mermen into slavery. However, he has great respect for Whitebeard and his crew, seeing them as completely different people. This stems from what Whitebeard did for his homeland, Fish-Man Island, and he understands the damage a war between the World Government and Whitebeard would cause. He knows that places like Fish-Man Island (which are protected simply by being part of Whitebeard's territory) would suffer even more if Whitebeard were to lose the war.

Jinbe is often seen wearing different traditional kimonos with various patterns: he wore a karakusa and later a floral one during his time as a member of the Sun Pirates; he wore square patterns during his debut and a plain one after the Marineford War. Four years ago, when he fought Ace, he wore a black gi with fish designs on either side of the chest and a red sash with a tanto tied around it. [18] Two years after the war, while waiting for Luffy in the Sea Forest, his kimono had a leaf pattern. During the Caribou cover story, he is seen wearing another floral pattern. As for footwear, he appears to wear simple geta on his webbed feet. His Sun Pirates tattoo is located in the center of his chest. During the Whole Cake Island arc, his kimono is yellow and has a striped Jolly Roger design. He also wears an orange coat. In the Wano Country arc, his kimono is yellow with large orange diamonds and white patterns, he wears a red sash, and his coat has a wavy design, dark purple in color that gradually lightens to white at the cuffs and hem. [16] Like all the other participants in the attack on Onigashima, Kin'emon briefly provided Jinbe with a Beast Pirates disguise.

Jinbe is a fish-man with the form of a blue whale shark and the tallest member of the Straw Hat Pirates. He has a rugged complexion, similar to that of a sumo wrestler, and a face often associated with Japanese demons like oni. His yellow eyebrows and sideburns are characteristic of these demons, and he also has a bulbous nose and an angular lower lip that points upward. He has a lightning-shaped scar that extends from his left sideburn past his left eye, which he received between the murder of Otohime and his encounter with Ace. He also possesses two conical lower fangs, similar to those of oni; the rest of his teeth, both upper and lower, are virtually identical, though much smaller. Furthermore, he has a pronounced underbite, which allows him to accommodate his enormous fangs. He has long, black, two-toned hair with two long streaks—gold in the manga and white in the anime—that grow from his forehead and fall down his back. He wears a topknot and a tuft of hair on his chin with a slight greenish tint. He didn't wear this topknot when he was a member of the Sun Pirates; instead, his shorter, looser black hair reached halfway down his head, where it lightened towards the nape of his neck. Before joining the Sun Pirates, he had a shaved chin, which he later gradually grew longer. He has webbed hands and feet, typical of fish-men, and his limbs are somewhat slender compared to his massive build. His gills (pale pinkish in color) are located between his shoulders and neck.

Age: 46 years (currently) Height: 301 cm. He is a whale shark merman and a member of the Straw Hat Pirates known as the "Knight of the Sea." He is a powerful Triton Karate fighter with strong Armament and Observation Haki, and is a highly skilled helmsman. His dream is to achieve coexistence between humans and mermen, a wish he shared with his former captain, Fisher Tiger.

The Straw Hats immediately distrusted Brook before his initial entry into the crew (with the exception of Luffy, who invited him aboard the Thousand Sunny), but this changes after the events of Thriller Bark.

Despite his obnoxious personality, Brook cares deeply for his crew, even going so far as to protect Usopp and Sanji from Kuma. His eccentricity often drives the crew crazy, showing disrespect towards Nami and even Robin when he asks them to show him their underwear, and making skull jokes in serious situations that often get him beaten up, even exhausting Robin's normally endless patience. This is likely due to his long years of isolation, without any real human contact.

However, Brook's sense of humor and music can inspire an organization as large as the Thriller Bark Victims Association. Franky is moved to tears upon hearing Brook's story, and the rest of the Straw Hats come to respect him, even Usopp and Chopper, who were initially afraid of him, after hearing about his engagement to Laboon.

During Brook's fight with Charlotte Linlin, he says that the "worst-case scenario" for Sanji's Rescue Team is that Sanji decides not to rejoin the crew, and when Big Mom asks him about it, he refuses to assume that any of his friends would die during the mission.

Creativity and imagination: Reading fosters the ability to create new ideas and scenarios in the mind. Brook is an extremely tall skeleton; to be more precise, he's the second tallest in the crew, standing at 266 cm. He wears a formal suit complete with a top hat and cane. Despite lacking skin, his head still has an afro-style hairstyle, which he says has remained because it always had strong roots. Brook's coat, hat, trousers, and afro are all black, while the linings of his coat are yellow and orange. The ribbon tied around his neck and inside his coat is blue. The outer part of Brook's cane-sword is purple. Furthermore, due to the attack before his death, Brook's clothing is torn in several places.

After two years, however, she has changed her clothes to a more upscale and colorful range, as if to represent a rock star. She has heart-shaped sunglasses, a yellow feather boa, a top hat with a giant crown on the brim, and orange pants with a pink floral design.

Initially, Franky was an antagonist to the Straw Hats: he robbed them, beat Usopp, and chased Luffy. He resented them for the beatings they gave his subordinates and the destruction of his home. The Straw Hats, in turn, resented Franky for assaulting Usopp, which led to the rift between Usopp and the crew. However, during the Enies Lobby arc, Luffy forgave Franky and accepted him as an ally. Franky also forgave them upon seeing how far they were willing to go to save one of their own, and decided to help them. His respect for them grew so much that he used the Adam wood he had obtained with the money he stole from them to build them a new ship: the Thousand Sunny.

Franky referred to many of the Straw Hats by nicknames even after they joined: Luffy as "Straw Hat," Chopper as "Reindeer Gorilla," and Usopp as "Big Nose." In Thriller Bark, when Zoro and Sanji disappear, Franky calls Zoro "Swordsman" and Sanji "Curly Cook." He also called Nami "Nee-chan" (sister) and Brook "Skeleton." In the Sabaody Archipelago arc, he uses fewer nicknames for the crew, but refers to Nami as "Kid" despite her protests. However, this seems to have changed after the time skip, as he now refers to Luffy, Usopp, Brook, Nami, Sanji, and Zoro by their names. Interestingly, he often refers to Nico Robin by her full name, rather than a nickname, even after the time skip.

Thanks to his cybernetic enhancements, Franky is very popular with the younger crew members. Because of this, he can be considered a father figure to the Straw Hats.

Dislikes: Acting unnaturally, Her vulnerable back, Holding onto money, and Marshmallows: she thinks they're not that cool.

Franky is distinguished by being a very proud character, so much so that he initially refused to join Luffy's crew. Franky always tries to hide his sentimentality. Proof of this sentimentality is his protecting the gang members, drunks, and vagrants of Water 7 and forming the Franky Family.

Before the time skip: As a direct result of the modifications he made to himself and the years he spent as a ship dismantler, bounty hunter, and street thug in Water 7, Franky is an intimidatingly built man standing over two meters tall, making him the third tallest member of the Straw Hat crew, after Jinbe and Brook. His forearms are relatively large, while his biceps are relatively small. His chest is toned, with large abs and pecs. He has bright blue hair and blue star tattoos on his forearms. Franky's eyebrows are quite long and severe, and he has three prominent eyelashes under each eye. His chin is very angular and tapers into three sharp indentations. However, whenever he is inside the Franky Shogun, he reverts to his original hairstyle.

Age: He was 34 years old in his first appearance and 36 years old after the time skip. Height: He is approximately 2.40 m (7 feet 10 inches) tall. He is a very tall cyborg. Franky from One Piece is a cyborg shipwright, former leader of the Franky Family, and a member of the Straw Hat Pirates. He is the crew's shipwright.

Robin is rarely seen with Brook, but like with the others, she treats him well, despite the things he does or says, like when Brook asked her if she would show him her underwear, to which she said nothing.

Nami is her closest friend, and she spends a lot of time with her. They're always seen shopping and chatting together during their free time. Like Nami, Robin gets frustrated by other people's antics, but she doesn't hold a grudge.

Sanji constantly flirts with her and Nami, which she doesn't seem to mind. The cook was the only member (besides Luffy) who immediately accepted her into the crew. He often calls her "Robin-chan" affectionately and uses other phrases, but Robin, unlike Nami, seems to tolerate this and usually responds politely.

She and Chopper seem to have a lot of affection for each other; so much so that one could say Robin's affection for Chopper is maternal instinct, since whenever they are relaxed, Chopper approaches her like a small child with its mother. Evidence of Robin's maternal instinct towards Chopper is in the Punk Hazard arc, when Law switched the bodies of Franky, Nami, Sanji, and Chopper. Robin was annoyed with Franky for speaking that way in Chopper's body. Usopp is the only member of the crew whom Robin calls by a nickname, in this case Nagahana-kun (Long Nose), and unlike other members, she isn't bothered by his cowardice. Although Usopp often scolds her for her macabre way of speaking.

Robin gets along well with Franky. She's very grateful that he risked his life for her. The two have a lot in common. One of the things they share is that they were both wanted by the World Government as children, and both witnessed the deaths of loved ones (Robin's mother, Olivia, and Franky's teacher, Tom, whom he considered a father figure). After witnessing the lengths they were willing to go to save her, Robin began to gain the confidence to call them by their names. Robin is very happy that Luffy accepted her into his crew (especially after the battle at Enies Lobby), and she is significantly more patient with him and his impulsive personality than with some of her other crewmates. She is sometimes seen laughing at the things Luffy does instinctively and without thinking. Luffy was the only person to tell her and convince her that life is worth living, even if the world doesn't want her.

Zoro, although initially the most reluctant to let Robin join the crew, does not have a bad relationship with her, as he has saved her on several occasions, demonstrating that, although their interaction is scarce, they have a good relationship, not to mention that Robin is the only person on the crew that Zoro listens to, which proves the great trust he has in her.

Robin's limbs are very long, especially her legs, which greatly contributes to both her combat prowess (given the nature of her powers) and her overall height; and, like most of the female characters in the series, she has a narrow waist. After the time skip: After two years, Robin's hair falls past her shoulders and is pulled back, revealing more of her forehead and ears. During her time away from the crew, her skin became lighter, just like in the manga. Like Nami, her breasts have become much larger and more voluptuous, and the curves of her body and figure have become more pronounced.

Her outfit after the time skip now consists of a long pink skirt with a partially purple zippered leather vest with a "V" neckline similar to Boa Hancock's and a white rose (dark blue in the anime) printed on the front of the left shoulder, Ray-Van style sunglasses, pink high-heeled shoes, and a pink backpack (lilac in the anime).
