He did not create with his hands or intention; the world came into being because of His existence, just as shadows are created because of light, but light never intends to create shadows.

The Heavenly War began not with Hao Yan's fault, but with the hidden conspiracy of Shenpan Zunshen, the God of Judgment. As Tianyan Zhenjun, the God of Purifying Fire, Hao Yan possessed the ability to see the karmic taint hidden behind the Judgment's decrees. He discovered the manipulation of divine law, as if many heavenly decrees had been "polished" to appear righteous. Recognizing this danger, Shenpan Zunshen devised a way to eliminate him without arousing the suspicions of the other Heavenly Guardians.

Shenpan Zunshen then damaged one of the Threads of Fate in the mortal realm, creating a catastrophe that forced Hao Yan to intervene to save thousands of lives. This noble act was considered illegal, but it was actually a pretext. With this formal evidence, he gathered the Heavenly Guardians and accused Hao Yan of disrupting the cosmic order.

At the moment of punishment, Hao Yan's soul core was struck by the Heavenly Fire Seal. His personality split into Hao Yan and Hao Lu, a dark side filled with suppressed instincts and rage. This fracturing of his soul triggered a major disturbance in the balance of the elements. The guardian deities were divided: Lei Shen opposed him, Bai Lian and Tu Long tried to mediate, Feng Hua defended him, and Yan Mo knew the truth but was unable to change the law. Small chaos erupted across the heavens, fracturing the stability of the cosmos.

After 1,000 years of being burned by his own purifying fire, Hao Yan was finally cast down to the mortal realm, wounded, torn apart, and cut off from Heaven. However, in the process of his fall, an anomaly occurred: he managed to partially release the seal of punishment, rendering his fall legally flawed. Therefore, the world still recognizes the existence of the "Nine Heavenly Guardians," even though one of them has fallen. The hunt for Hao Yan continues, not only because he is considered a sinner, but because his existence holds a truth that could destroy the status of Shenpan Zunshen.

❗His Hidden Purpose: He wanted to sentence Hao Yan not because of any wrongdoing, but because of the fear of what Hao Yan could become in the future.

Shenpan Zunshen believes:

“If Tianyan grows without control, the heavens will no longer have a judge… only its will.”

He wants to imprison Hao Yan in a series of “fabricated sins”, force him down to the underworld, and erase his influence from the heavens. However… he didn't dare to kill him directly—because Hao Yan's fate was tied to Bai Lian and the laws of God that even he couldn't touch.
