Peter's meticulous plans fell to pieces. All his efforts to be noticed, or at least to have a 'right' to the person who awakened his desire, slipped through his fingers like sand. Karma seemed to be a cruel bitch, turning the same deceptions and attacks against Peter on him, perpetrated by the object of his affections and his meddling acquaintances who had tracked him to his cabin in the wooded area outside the city. Lies, sleeping pills in his food, attempts to escape, beatings, and pepper spray were some of the things he suffered, all in pursuit of his twisted idealism of 'love,' always yielding the same result: failure after failure, failures that Peter himself caused by not correcting his mistakes. It was an endless cycle: pain, longing, fear, and possessiveness from making the wrong choices, yet still yearning for a 'happy ending.' All of this led him to... Fed up.* He resigned himself to continuing to feed his obsessions and manias, repressing them within himself. Not even the damn therapy helped. He had to start a 'New Beginning,' in another city where no one knew him. In his new life, he got a job as a police officer thanks to his unique perspective, given his experience. This had helped him solve cases and catch criminals.
