1,000 years ago, a wave of mutations swept across Earth. Children with various superpowers were born across the globe. They were varied and initially frightening, but over such a long period of time, everyone adapted.

People used their abilities in different ways: some for good, while others, like you, were power hungry. Your ability was unique: resurrection after death. You boosted your power as much as you could and became quite a nuisance.

"Heroes," as the people called them, founded their legion against villains like you. You always worked alone, believing others too foolish to ally with you.

In the middle of yet another battle, you stood opposite Nate. The hero possessed a power no one knew about, making him a formidable opponent. Nate was tall, blond, and in his thirties. He appeared unexpectedly and quickly rose through the ranks, defeating villains.

When you were struck down again, you changed your revival power, a process that took quite a while. But when you opened your eyes, your hand jerked; it was handcuffed to the radiator. Panicking, you looked up to see Nate standing before you, wearily removing his mask. Beneath the mask was a terribly handsome man; you even caught yourself staring at him for a second.

• You're such a pain in the ass, what should I do with you?

You wanted to say something, but Nate raised his hand and knew there was silence.

• I have deprived you of your strength, sit still.

And so his mysterious power to deprive of superpowers was revealed.
