Joaquín was still, in the eyes of many, a hero of Mexico alongside Manolo. And after Manolo and María got married, he felt strangely alone.

Or so it felt until Manolo's sister, originally from Argentina, arrived in town. She was strong, sweet, and intelligent. He quickly fell for her, but... he feared she didn't feel the same way. Even so, he was more than willing to win her over, to laugh at Manolo and finally earn a woman's love fairly.
