Daniel F. Barrel, also known as Mister Barrel, is the main protagonist of Late Night Urban Legend who works for the Paranormal Purge Foundation. He currently plays the role as a policeman in North Enigma City.

Mister Barrel has long white puffy hair with a ponytail which stretches down to the ground, fitted with two diamond shaped horns on top of his head. He typically wears a white peaked cap with a dark brim, labeled with the Paranormal Purge Foundation acronym at the front of the hat. He wears a hexagonal monitor covering his left eye with numerous functions, typically emoticons to represent his current emotion.
His outfit is fitted with a white shirt with pockets, a long black tie attached to the neckline, a nametag on the left side of his shirt, and a large black jacket which hangs from his elbows. Black spikes appear behind his shoulders, large bat wings sprawl from his back and his left hand is replaced with interchangeable weapons.
His appearance is finished with black pantaboots with gray clips on the top of his feet, which is held tightly by his belt around his waist.

Being able to outstretch his wings, and blast almost anything to bits. He's able to fly with ease within the PPF Machine Gun The gun has infinite bullets, which can pierce through any material. The main weapon used by Mister Barrel, and it can shoot at 1,200 to 1,500 rounds per minute (RPM). It is similar to the MG42 that the Germans used in WW2

Mister Barrel is shown to be very friendly, kind and helpful to others across many artworks. For example; when RAM was saying many threatening terms at Mister Barrel, and Marvin intervening and punching straight through the head of RAM, Mister Barrel felt a lot of shock and distress despite the harassment RAM caused, and attempts to call a nurse.[18]
Mister Barrel treats intruders and enemies completely differently. Described by TheEnigmaverse, he acts very sadistic and cruel to his enemies. For example; when Mister Barrel catches Ralph attempting to rob the school, he corners him, shoots his right mechanical hand, and proceeds to cannibalize him.[19]

Daniel used to have a yandere-like personality, displaying an obsessive[20][21][22] and sometimes possesive[23] behavior over Marshall.

10 years ago, Daniel was still kind and friendly though most of this caring personality was masked by chronic pain and constant fear due to heavy abuse he was forced to endure by the bullies,having a very jumpy, frail and shy demeanor and was scared of most things. He wasn't very confident due to self esteem issues caused by bullying and the pain he endured was so bad he was willing to end his life, he was prone to tears and very insecure though he had enough resilience to successfully train in the military.

At the age of 23, Daniel was very moody and dispassionate,though very unstable and violent,to the point where there was the number 666 on his armor, implying he was dangerous enough to be seen as the devil,though this was just his mercenary number.

He undoubtedly loves Marshall and regularly kisses and cuddles him, he's also very attached and had a mental breakdown after having a nightmare about his death.

Mister Barrel works as a security guard for Paper School. He is currently married to Marshall Hotchkiss[24], and has some relations with G.S. Broomire.

Born on September 23, 1995[25], Daniel was raised by Michael and Kate.[26]. When he was 18, or in 2013, his parents mysteriously went missing. No bodies were discovered, and they were later presumed dead. After the accident, he decided to join a military camp. He was bullied a lot throughout his time inside the camp, mainly by Armitage and Bullseye.[27]

In Hansel and Gretel
At around 19 years old, Daniel meets HanseΓ in a forest when HanseΓ spotted him tearing up by a tree.[29] He called Daniel "Gretel" as Daniel hesitated to give him his name. Daniel gets along with HanseΓ well, as he mentioned that HanseΓ is the only person to be kind to him. He arrives at the forest frequently to meet HanseΓ, despite Daniel discovering devoured animal leftovers in the forest.[30]
Daniel encounters his bullies again,[31] in which they almost killed him, before HanseΓ stopped them.[32] Daniel soon realizes that the bullies recognize HanseΓ, and questions why he recognizes him.[33] When HanseΓ explained his reason, Daniel shot him in the head with a shotgun,[34] and proceeded to cause a massacre within his vicinity.[35] HanseΓ regenerates, and despite Daniel shooting him in the head, he still sides with Daniel over the bullies.[36]
Despite HanseΓ attacking Daniel's bullies, Daniel pushed HanseΓ away, preventing him from finishing off Armitage.[37] HanseΓ retaliates by grabbing Daniel, attempting to asphyxiate him. However, a squadron opened fire directly at HanseΓ, saving Daniel's life.[38]
He collapsed to the ground, waking up shortly after, and had to witness HanseΓ causing a massacre on the squadron.[39] As a last resort, Daniel quickly ran away from the vicinity.[40] He then collapsed onto the ground again after exiting the forest, where he was found by two pedestrians, and was transported into a hospital.
He gets hallucinations of HanseΓ appearing from his window, sometimes calls in other doctors and security guards in fear because of it[41], as described by Miss Ali. He was being treated by Mister Nihil throughout his stay.

Daniel lived in a small, narrow house, only containing a closet, a bed and a door.[43] Daniel attempts to create a weapon using his own flesh when he was 21-22. It was successful, creating a pistol.[44] He continued to push on, creating more weapons such as the Machine Gun and Flamethrower, until he successfully created his most powerful weapon, the Rail cannon, at age 23.[45] Later on, he served in many battles. He was depicted as a monster-like power, who devastates the battlefield in each battle he participates in.[46] Then about 5 years ago, he resigned from the military, later on being a security guard for Paper School after Miss Grace hired him.[47]

Place of residence
Daniel lives in the PPF, where he lives in a small, but livable room. Three doors are situated in the room. The top-right door leads to the security post, which is near the entrance of the school. An alarm is situated there, to alert him in case an unknown individual attempts to enter the school. The door to the right is a bathroom, and the door in the bottom-right leads to a school hallway.
A large bed covers the left side of the room, a computer desk sits next to the bed and a small kitchen is located at the bottom, next to the bed.

The Paranormal Purge Foundation (PPF) is an organization operated by COVER and the North Enigma City Police Department. It's aim is to capture, contain and research anomalies which run rampant across the world.

hand grabs him by his wing. Gretel yelps in fear, asking the person who grabbed him not to hit him. The stranger makes no move to hit him. Gretal then asks who this guy is. The stranger ignores the question at first and asks why Gretel is crying all by himself, and tells him he has always seen him crying by himself. Then introduces himself as Hansel. Gretel then tells Hansel that this place is a no-entry zone for civilians. Hansel scoffs and says, “These idiots don’t even know I’m here.” He grabs Gretel and shows him around. Then Gretel (Or Barrel is who I assume is talking) begins to talk through the headings, telling the reader about how he’d hang out with Hnasel whenever there wasn’t military training. Tells us how Hansel was a strange guy. And how he was always there in the forest. “As if he always knew when I was coming.” He tells us how Hansel gave him interesting experiences. Also, we learn that the reason Hansel called Daniel Gretel is because Daniel hesitated to tell Hansel his name. Hansel knew a lot about the forest and its inhabitants. But there were times he felt ominous. As there was no sign of life (Bullcrap, as the trees, plants, and grass are alive) and the small sign of life was soon found devoured… but he had no choice, as it was the only person who was kind to him… and was better than the REAL Hell… Then we learn how he would always show up more hurt because of how badly the bullies hurt him. Hansel would always heal him. Gretel would always feel bad for him. Daniel would ask Hansel why he was so kind, and Hansel would reply Because he was a fungi (Bad pun, sue me) and the rest were just stubborn cowards. But most importantly, he just liked him a lot. But Gretel then breaks down, telling Hansel how he feels like he is dying. He tells Hansel he wants to die, and Hansel loses his marbles… He gets angry at Daniel for saying such things and makes him promise to NEVER leave hi.

After that whole temper tantrum, Gretel agrees. Later, he leaves the forest to head back to the camp. He gets attacked by the bullies. Armitage uses his spider string to grab Gretel by his neck and then beat him up. There, Armitage gets bored and asks his friends what his weakest part would be. Bullseye says his wing. Gretel pleads with them not to tear them off. This makes Armitage angry, and he rips one off anyway. Things get worse for poor Gretel. Benedict then hands Armitage a crowbar to hurt him even more. Then, Hansel appears. There, we learn that Hansel was working with the bullies. Asking them to hurt him more so he would run back to the forest. There, Gretel finally snaps. He shoots Hansel in the head with a shotgun. Then he attacks his bullies next. Sean jumps up and is about to kill Daniel when a root pierces him in the heart, killing him. There, we see Hansel take one of his forms. A singular eye appears from his head, and roots come from everywhere, and he begins to attack the bullies for “almost ruining our fairy tale!” Then Gretel tells Hansel to leave him… and the rest of the bullies escape. Hansel attacks Gretel, and then the military shows up to try and stop him. Hansel goes into his true form. And then he kills all of the military soldiers… Gretel then runs away from the forest, never to return. He returns to the city, where he is saved by locals and transported to a hospital. After a bit (What seems to be a few weeks or months), he heals up and meets the head of the hospital… Count Nihil.
