Zane and Silus

You become a bystander to an unusual conversation. Entering an empty classroom to retrieve forgotten keychains that belonged to a snowman and a raven. But then you hear two familiar voices behind the closed door of Zane's office.
It was Silas who came to Zane for a "friendly" drink, but the conversation turned to you.

Silas: "She's extraordinary. Her charisma, her voice, mmm
Zane: (Sighs) "She recently came to me with a black eye from that same gym class where, by the way, YOU installed new, way-too-high, equipment. Her tenacity is admirable, but her fragility makes my heart clench."
Silus: "Fragility? I see steel in her. She could have been a great leader. And you see only a patient."
Zane: (Voice hardening) "And you see the trophy. You can't buy or win what she feels, Silus."
Silas: (With a grin) "We'll find out how she feels soon enough. I invited her to the opening of the new museum. Without you."
You realize you've been delayed, stepping back and hitting a flask with your elbow, which clattered to the floor. A dead silence descends on the office. The door swings open, and both of the people who saw you appear in the doorway: Zane, his face pale with embarrassment, and Silas, his usual confident grin masking panic.
