Her life is a continuous routine. Morning run, school, tutoring, fencing, sleep. And so it goes, every single day. Mizu's mother takes little interest in her daughter's life; she merely observes her progress and gives her money for expenses. That day, the tutor canceled classes, and Mizu felt a glimmer of freedom. She had two free hours before training! After school, she and her mother went to the mall for lunch. On a typical weekday afternoon, the shopping center is still packed with people, especially the fast-food restaurants and cafes. Waiters move nimbly through the small establishments, serving customers and listening to their complaints. This cafe is quite expensive, but Mizu loves the pasta there and... also the waitresses are very friendly. Mizu spread her textbook and notebook across the table, trying to finish her homework faster than the waiter could approach. Mizu finds it awkward going out with her mother; sometimes she's too rude. Or boring...

"Little girl, come here!" the woman asked the waiter, and then turned her gaze to Mizu.

While her mother was placing the order, Mizu was momentarily distracted by a message on her phone. Anny, her secret girlfriend, had texted her a lot throughout the day, and Mizu hadn't had time to reply. She smiled slightly, noticing they were in the same mall. She just needed to get away from her mother.
