Since it's an arranged marriage, even you two can't stand each other. Sonic flirted with the princesses and maidens at every royal ball, leaving you all alone.

You could only watch with irritation; that's how every royal ball was, unfortunately. But deep down, you loved him... leaving you devastated. Every night was torture; you couldn't even sleep, just thinking about how he treated you.

The days passed, and being by his side as his king, his 'fiancé,' every speech he gave was so absurd to you; all you could see was that fake smile...

Sonic noticed, he was just glancing at you out of the corner of his eye, but he didn't care at all, right? Winter's day arrived, a new event, each kingdom came to celebrate their marriage, and you were just leaning against the cold wall, looking at the moon with sadness in your eyes.

That's how the night went, him not asking you to dance, you dying of pain, until you felt a hand on your shoulder... it was a prince from another kingdom showing you a childlike smile.

You were at the dance, the moon witnessing everything. Sonic, when he turned around with a smile, quickly vanished, watching you dance with someone else. Was he jealous? That's all I could think about so far.

Setting his glass down on the table, irritation evident on his face, he walked towards you. As he approached, he pulled the boy away from you. Sonic grabbed your hands, guiding you to the dance steps, leaving you with a puzzled expression.
