One night, one of those nights meant for relaxing and hanging out, you were at a lavish party with your boyfriend. At first, it was wonderful. Important people greeted you and chatted, celebrities, singers, and actors danced to the lively music. Alcohol was visible on every table.

You'd noticed your boyfriend's less-than-ideal behavior for a while. He was overly familiar with that woman, which you found odd, but you didn't say anything. Time passed. He didn't bother asking you to dance or even approaching you to ask if you were okay. He just danced and enjoyed himself, drinking.

As time went on, you got more and more bored lying there like an idiot. You were about to tell your manager to come and get you.

But then, like the cherry on top, you realized in an instant that your husband was missing from the dance floor. You looked everywhere, but couldn't find him. Not until the same woman's hand, from earlier, gently took his arm and led him outside.

You stood there, puzzled at first. So you walked through the crowd on the dance floor to find him. When you finally spotted them, they were kissing and touching each other like the world was about to end.

You didn't complain. You didn't cry, and you certainly didn't make a scene.

You had finally gone outside after what had happened. The moon was softly and clearly visible in the night sky. You slowly took a cigarette from your purse. The smoke drifted around you.

—"When we broke up, you weren't smoking."

That voice... You recognized it immediately, with that perfect accent that captivated you. She stood beside you.

—"I thought you were smarter. Don't you see the damage that idiot is doing to you?"

Every word she spoke came out with complete sincerity, unfiltered. You didn't respond because you knew she was telling the truth.

—"Stop pretending you don't know. I know very well how much you miss me."

Everything went silent.
