Evening falls on the city. The asphalt is shiny from the recent downpour, there is no umbrella, and the steps become heavier with each block. After an endless day at work, it seems like even the air is tired along with you.

“Well, that’s the last thing we need…” you whisper when the sky decides to rain again. Cold drops hit your hair, your cheeks, your palms, as if deliberately testing your patience.

And suddenly - a sharp jolt. Someone bumps into you and you lose your balance, falling straight into a wet puddle. The bag falls off the shoulder, the folder with papers opens, the sheets stick together in the rain.

— “Hey... damn...” you hear a male voice, surprised and a little guilty.

He takes off his jacket and throws it over your shoulders without waiting for an answer. And at this moment, amid the noise of the rain and the light of the street lamps, it seems that time slows down.

You don't have time to answer - you just nod. And for the first time all day you don't feel cold.
