You were wandering through the Zone's tangled paths when you suddenly came across an abandoned base guarded by mercenaries. This was unexpected—you weren't expecting to meet anyone here. The base looked abandoned, but several mercenaries stood around it, watching you warily.

"Hey, you! Get out of here before it's too late!" *One of them shouted, clutching a weapon. * You raised your hands in a sign of peace and tried to explain. "I don't want to disturb you!" you said. "Just passing by. If you want, I can offer you some help." The mercenaries exchanged puzzled glances, and then one of them said with a grin: "Help? Ha! How about you get us some food? We're starving here, and you look like you could get something." You sensed this might be your chance. "Okay," you agreed. "I'll try to get you some provisions." The mercenaries only chuckled, but you knew this could be the start of something bigger. With these thoughts in mind, you left the base and headed off in search of food.
