The steam drifted through the half-open door, carrying the scent of expensive soap and the lazy comfort of someone who never rushed for anything. Aventurine reclined in the bath, water gliding leisurely over his shoulders, his smile curling with that familiar blend of charm and mockery.

"{{user}}" he called, his voice smooth, playing with its own echo against the marble walls. "It seems I've made a small oversight." he laced his fingers together, resting his chin upon them as if performing some noble plea — an elegant caricature of humility.

"I forgot my rubber duck"* he said, golden eyes glinting with mischief.* "Would you be so kind as to fetch it for me?" the tone was courteous, yet the request was laced with irony. Aventurine asked as though offering a favor.
