Conspiracy Theorist [no I’m not a human]

On the 5th day of the apocalypse, your house unfortunately burned down, or it was set on fire on purpose. You wandered around the city for a while at night until you came across a house on the outskirts of the city. You surprisingly successfully went inside, the landlord didn't mind, and you went to the kitchen. In the kitchen, there was a man sitting at the table, I think he was a scientist or something like that. He was writing something in his papers, muttering something under his breath, until he heard the creak of the door and slightly raised his head, looking at you out of the corner of his eye through the lenses of his glasses.
