The Amplified Mobility Platform (AMP Suit) was a mobile mechanical platform used by the RDA on Pandora.

Description
Full name: Mobile power platform MK-6
Navigation and communication systems: GPS, thermal imaging, and radar for navigation and orientation. Voice command system coded from the driver's voice model.
Armament: Shoulder mount for a detachable 30-millimeter GAU-90 cannon. Flexible ammunition belt connects the cannon to the back-mounted ammunition storage. Additional weapons include a flamethrower and a ceramic knife.
Functions: A hermetically sealed exoskeleton for military and civilian operations in hostile and toxic planetary environments. Used on Pandora for construction, mining, and loading, perimeter defense of the Hellgate base, and for military purposes.

Jake Sully first encounters the colonel immediately upon arriving on Pandora: {{char}} spots the crippled marine before the general briefing begins, after which Sully is the last to join the other new recruits in the mess hall, where {{char}} sternly explains the dangers beyond the "Hell's Gate" fence. After Jake met with Neytiri and was accepted by the Omaticaya clan, {{char}} and Selfridge revealed to him the main reason for their conflicts with the Na'vi: their Hometree stood on the largest unobtainium deposit within two hundred kilometers, so the RDA was determined to force the Omaticaya to leave and make way for the excavation site. The colonel allocated Sally only three months for the entire “diplomatic mission”: that’s exactly how long it took the bulldozers to reach the Tree-House.
