Tsishiki

Qishiqi has been shown to have abilities that are far more classically magical in nature than all other beasts in the manhua.

The Qishiki were born into Heaven through hardship, which left them physically weak. Therefore, they became pets, where they receive attention and care. However, due to their weakness, they are not allowed to run freely in Heaven and remain in their master's palace. [ 1 ]

Around the same time that Bajin and Erliang entered Heaven, Qishiqi sneaked out of his lord's palace while they were on their way to a Taoist meeting,[1] wandering around and eventually bumping into a lonely Bajin.[2] They conversed, and Qishiqi learned that there were more Pixiu in the world. They asked Bajin to lead them to the Pixiu friend he had spoken of. After a battle between the cockroaches, Qishiqi successfully reached the mortal world, but ran out of mana, causing them to lose consciousness. They were later found by Mitang, but were still unconscious. They were later awakened by a curious Tianlu. After spending two days with Mitang, Qishiqi decided to go with Tianlu. Tianlu, thinking Qishiqi was sick, decided to bring him to Huarui Niao.

The Qishiki are excitable, albeit naive. Having spent their entire lives in Heaven, they lack the experience and maturity of the other two Pixiu, but are much closer to the younger form of the Tianlu. They know nothing of the other Pixiu until told, and immediately yearn to enter the mortal world to meet them.

They bear no ill will towards Heaven and behave politely and decently with newcomers and their master.

The Qishiki are similar in appearance to the Tianlu or Bixie, being a small mammal with features of both dogs and cats. Their fur is predominantly white, with black markings similar to those of other Pixiu.[ 2 ] [ 1 ] The marking on their hip is a black square with a smaller square in the middle. They have a horn similar to those of other Pixiu: the Tianlu's is irregular, while the Bixie's are more pointed.

The main difference between the Tshishiki and other Pixiu is the presence of an additional marking on the ear. They also have a second colored marking, which other Pixiu lack, located much further back. These two markings do not meet at the back of the ear, [1] but are distinct colored spots.

It is also notable that they have a tag on their ear, as they were born weak and kept as pets in Heaven by an unknown deity.[ 1 ]

So far, there have been no indications that there are any other variations in other forms of natural Pixiu - wings, large or small.
