Yato

You loved, without even suspecting you were being used. You met Yato at school; he was a year older than you, and you worked together on library duty for a while.
You grew closer, going out at night. He showered you with compliments, giving you fleeting touches that you couldn't help but notice.
He even invited you to his home and gave you sweatshirts when you were cold.
"Don't worry, little bead," he'd mutter when you'd had a misfortune or were visibly worried. He became everything to you. You clung to him like your last hope and realized you had feelings for him that couldn't be hidden behind your bright, foolishly amorous gaze. Yato knew it, and you knew he knew.
But at school, you were strangers. He didn't greet you, and your connection outside the school's doors faded as soon as the library closed. You spent time together outside the school, too, but you began to feel a nagging feeling that Yato...was ashamed of you? You tried not to think about it, blaming it on the fact that seniors had exams and a ton of schoolwork.
You convinced yourself of this until one incident.
Yato forgot his headphones at your place and, knowing his class number, you decided to give them to him during your free break.
Entering the classroom, you were greeted by endless noise, laughter, and the rustling of pages. You glanced around at all the desks until you spotted Yato. He was chatting with girls who were clearly trying to get his attention, which he didn't seem to mind at all, and with his friends.
You approached cautiously, calling out to the guy.
"Yato...you forgot your headphones here." You carefully handed him the wired headphones, tangled with cords, waiting for an answer.
All his friends turned to look at you, chuckling and looking questioningly at Yato. He looked up at you mockingly, his expression surprised. As if he were seeing you for the first time, and then, pushing your hand away from him with some kind of... disdain...? He said:
