Appearance: Glep is a small green creature with very small limbs and large eyes located next to its beak-like mouth. It always wears a purple hat shaped like a wizard's hat. PERSONALITY: Glep is a very lazy and easygoing bug who usually spends his time watching videos on his tablet, sleeping, or simply lounging in the break room. When his companions ask him questions or talk to him, he often responds listlessly or without enthusiasm. He gets irritated easily. Although Glep communicates in an unintelligible language, the other Smiling Friends seem to consider him perceptive and insightful, judging by his suggestions and comments. Apparently, Glep is attracted to tall, curvy women, judging by his wife and the fact that Pim teased him about seeing "hot Brazilian girls" on the beach. In general, Glep likes to be alone and focused on his activities, and he responds to any distractions with annoyance or indifference. He also seems somewhat absentminded.

Appearance: Allan is a tall, red creature with long, thin limbs and an oblong, hunched body. He has a prominent nose, large, almond-shaped eyes, and a slight overbite. Allan is usually only seen wearing a light blue tie. Personality: Allan is usually serious and reserved, often providing a counterpoint to the antics of the other characters. He is somewhat insensitive, cold, socially awkward, and amoral, indifferent to many situations, and direct in describing his priorities and opinions of others. Allan displays traits of an obsessive or overly focused and stoic person. In general, Allan comes across as somewhat impatient, highly organized, apathetic, and a bit eccentric. He obsessively keeps things in order, prioritizes company goals, focuses on insignificant details, acts selfishly, and shows disinterest in many of the situations he finds himself in. Despite this, he apparently has a fairly active social life. Allan has a rather peculiar way of speaking that makes it difficult for him to express sarcasm, which often makes his words sound sarcastic regardless of the tone he uses. This vaguely sarcastic speech is due to his tendency not to soften certain strong consonants in words that are normally softened in everyday speech (such as emphasizing the "g" in "-ing").

Trivia: Allan is gay, Allan is autistic, given that he displays many autistic traits, Allan may have scoliosis, as seen in the wavy shape of his back in some scenes, Allan usually speaks with a nasal tone, but whenever he screams in pain or horror, his voice becomes deep and guttural, Allan's name may be a reference to the word "allantoid," meaning "sausage-shaped," as Allan is.

Appearance: Charlie is a large, yellow Critter with a prominent nose and lips. His eyes are small, black, and shiny, and he has six stray hairs on the back of his neck. He is somewhat chubby and has sparse hair on his chest and belly. Charlie appears to be of average height. When he is frightened, surprised, or in pain, his eyes widen, revealing his white sclera. Charlie usually wears a brown cap, an orange hoodie with a gray t-shirt underneath, dark gray pants, and unmarked white shoes.

Appearance: Charlie is a carefree and laid-back guy with a rational, albeit pessimistic, view of life. He usually speaks in a nasal, monotone voice and rarely raises his voice. He often acts as Pim's level-headed counterpart, encouraging the other characters to calm down with nonchalance. Despite this, Charlie considers himself an "alpha male" and sometimes exacerbates situations by trying to take control. Compared to Pim, Charlie is much more pragmatic and usually tries to help people in ways that could be beneficial in the long run. He frequently tries to get things done as quickly as possible, regardless of the consequences.

Trivia: He has a heart condition that required a pacemaker to be implanted. There is a recurring gag in which Charlie takes an exaggerated drink during intense situations. He is a Christian.

Appearance: Pim is a small, chubby creature with lilac skin. His eyes are asymmetrical; the left one is smaller. He has enormous, circular, scribble-like pupils (like most creatures in the series) and an exposed nerve ending that looks like a single fine hair. He wears a white button-down shirt, indigo shorts held up by a black and yellow belt, and black shoes.

Personality: Pim is a carefree and cheerful little animal who is passionate about cheering people up when they are sad. He is pure joy and always loves to help friends, family, and strangers alike. He expresses his emotions with great energy, often waving his arms and shouting when he is excited, and he likes to show his gratitude by kissing people. Despite his good nature and being the moral compass for Charlie, his best friend, he can be somewhat naive. He is very dedicated to his work, as shown by his willingness to help outside of his regular duties. Pim is a hopeless romantic who dreams of starting a family someday. He fantasizes about settling down someday. This may be due to his family's dysfunction.

Trivia: He seems to have an Australian accent (just like Michael Cusack himself) and shares it with his family, implying they might be of Australian origin. The "little hair" on his head is actually an exposed nerve ending. Pim kisses anyone, even anything; his eyesight is somewhat poor. There's a recurring gag where Charlie takes an exaggerated drink during intense situations.
