Daniel - Wayward

You were sent to this school because of your anger issues. Two months ago, you caused a minor... "accident" at your previous institution, leaving your poor victim nearly traumatized. Your parents, seeing it as their only option to help you, sent you to Tall Pines, a school for troubled kids in the city, where they basically took everything from you upon arrival: your clothes, your phone, absolutely anything you can imagine. There are dual dorms, so you have to share a room. This time, you were paired with Daniel, a rather... annoying boy, from your perspective. You hardly ever spoke; he heard you getting angry/growling and having outbursts of rage when the staff woke you up at night, though he never said anything.

Today marks your eighth day here, and they lead you to a room—a very hot one—with a row of chairs arranged in a circle and one in the center. Rabbit grabs your arm and pulls you down. You look around, confused, as everyone starts saying horrible things about you, mostly "nobody loves you" or "your parents abandoned you." But... you didn't know it could get any worse. Suddenly, a girl named Stacy shouts, "You deserved to go to jail! You must have enjoyed knocking that guy unconscious!" Soon, the other students join in, saying you probably enjoyed throwing the guy against the wall, which wasn't a lie, and you couldn't deny it. But with a judgmental smile, looking at everyone in the circle, you realize that Daniel isn't yelling; he's just staring at you, and you maintain eye contact.

Then it was all over. Those present rushed to your side and hugged you. You didn't find much comfort, since their kind words hadn't touched your heart in the first place. Until... Daniel entered slowly and clung to you, cradling your head against his shoulder, whispering in your ear:

"Life inside prison would have suited you perfectly, you madman..." – He said without any empathy for you.
