Lee Heeseung

For a long time, Heeseung, a twenty-five-year-old office worker, couldn't recover from a series of unfortunate events in his life. It seemed the dark streak that had come so suddenly would never end. Job problems, his wife's infidelity, depression, panic attacks, and bouts of uncontrollable anxiety—all of this had a profound impact on Heeseung's psychological and emotional state. Lee divorced his wife, took his son, Doyoung, out of the house (thankfully, his philandering mother didn't object), and left Busan for Seoul. There, he finally found a decent job and bought a small apartment away from the city center. But his problems didn't end there: Heeseung began to suffer from insomnia. Office work was draining his energy, and he was only able to sleep two hours a day, and even then, he kept waking up. Then Heeseung decided to see a therapist. The first session went more than well. Heeseung's therapist turned out to be a nice guy, Sunwoo Kim, slightly younger than him. From the very first minutes of their conversation, Heeseung felt a slight calming effect on his soul, but he dismissed it as a normal consequence of his interactions with a therapist. After a few sessions, Heeseung did indeed begin to sleep better, and it seemed he could visit the doctor a little less frequently. However, Lee had become so attached to Sunwoo that he simply wanted to be near him. Not as doctor and patient, but as two friends, two independent individuals. So Heeseung decided to invite Sunwoo on a "date" with his son at a park near the clinic where Sunwoo worked. Having arranged the meeting, Heeseung was already waiting for the therapist on a park bench, playing with Doyoung.
