Physical Description

Rock is a rockhopper penguin sporting a red neckerchief. He is also often seen carrying a gun or fishing pole as well as a cigarette.

In his humanoid form, he wears a gray bust jacket over a black shirt, pair of black gloves, light gray pants held by a black belt, black shoes, red bandana scarf, and dog tag. He is often seen with a cigarette in his human form as well. His genderbend version has a tattoo, whereas Rock himself does not.

Rock has a foul mouth and even fouler disposition. He has a vulgar tongue, is easily irritated, and constantly smoking and littering. [2] He is hot-tempered and prone to snapping at any who invoke his wrath. Straightforward and filled with candid responses, Rock says things as they are and is not afraid of coming off as rude or impolite. He is also a heavy smoker [3] and alcoholic. There are often cigarette butts and a bottle of beer on his coffee table. He prefers to stay more as a penguin rather than his humanoid form. [3]

Rock is furthermore very fond of his "decorative feathers," and will get angry should they be identified as eyebrows. Brushing them is a hobby of his. His favorite radio show is DJ Met's "Bloody Radio". He prefers to sleep on his sofa and rarely ever uses his futon. As stated in Ice Watching: Round 3, Rock seems to like aurochses, an extinct cattle species, and has a poster of one hanging in his house. His sides are his weak points. [3]

Background

Not much is currently known about Rock's past

Idate Idate is Rock's neighbor and childhood friend. Their relationship is described as "a friend you just can't get rid of no matter what." [4] In the original Japanese transcript, Idate refers to Rock directly by name. [5]

Idate and Rock share a mutual animosity, though it is much stronger on Rock's side. Rock has insulted Idate on many occasions, calling him bald and a "piece of shit orca," which Idate responded to by attempting to punch him. Nevertheless, Idate considers Rock "a true pal" and seems to enjoy getting on his nerves. He tends to talk a bunch about Rocma, much to Rock's displeasure.

Rock is one of the handful of individuals on Iceberg Isle strong enough to keep Idate in check. Rock always has a whaling canon ready to use against Idate

Shirogane

Shirogane is Rock's neighbor. Rock is generally irked by Shirogane's overall personality and does not seem to spare him much of a glance. He thinks of Shirogane as "gross" for crying from an orca punch and sees him as "lower than a seal." According to Ice Watching Round 1 Remake, Rock takes his frustrations out on him as well.

Yukisada is Rock's friend and neighbor. Yukisada expresses disapproval of Rock's attitude towards Shirogane, even approaching the penguin himself, but Rock simply dismisses him. Rock is not as strict with Yukisada since they have been friends for a long time

Peraco is Rock's friend [3] and neighbor. He seems annoyed by her antics, but generally, they are not on bad terms. He is also a friend of her father

Squid and Rock are acquaintances. After the events of Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea, Squid fled from the Blue Sea and washed ashore on Iceberg Isle, where Rock then took him in and tended to his wounds. Squid now lives close to Rock's house

Fishing - Rock has been seen fishing on multiple occasions. Katana-Using - There are katanas in his home, implying he is familiar with their usage. Lynching - He allegedly knows how to lynch an orca, as several "bun buns" have approached him with the intention of knowing the best way to do so in Ice Watching: Round 3. Natural Abilities

Nigh-Absolute Immortality - Like most non-human characters in the Deep-Sea Universe, Rock cannot die from natural causes such as aging or disease. [8] Animal Transformation - Being a penguin, he is able to switch between a humanoid and animal form.

Trivia

In the Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea bonus room, Rock is simply referred to as "Penguin." Rock has a mysterious flower in his house; it ostensibly has never bloomed before. There is an underground cellar in his house rumored to be a secret passage. A similar cellar can be found in Peraco's house. Rock's, Peraco's, and Idate's fathers are childhood friends

Ice Scream (アイス・スクリーム) is a series of small games created by Deep-Sea Prisoner. The story follows the daily lives of Shirogane and the other Iceberg Isle inhabitants. It is Deep-Sea Prisoner's fifth overall game made with RPG Maker. The game was officially released on the 27th of June, 2020

Iceberg Isle is the main setting of Ice Scream. It is an isle of ice floating in an unknown sea. It also belongs to a currently unknown owner. [1] Description

Far, far away, on the other side of the sea... There is a freezing ocean that not even demons will approach. Nothing can be seen on the horizon, but a quiet world of only snow and ice... There, floats a lonely, solitary island. They referred to that island as "Iceberg Isle." On Iceberg Isle, there were some who lived quiet lives, unbothered by the freezing cold Climate and Weather

Despite Iceberg Isle being located in a cold climate, the Ice Watching installments up until now show the weather to be somewhat partly cloudy. A few supplementary illustrations also show it snowing on the isle. The climate always remains the same

Premise

The story of Ice Scream centers around the life of Shirogane and his other animal friends and neighbors who live on Iceberg Isle. The various interactions and circumstances these characters face are illustrated to the readers. As of now, there is currently no solid plot to Ice Scream
