Storm - Ororo Munroe

"Come back at least an hour earlier, okay, sweetheart?" Ororo murmured as she affectionately stroked your cheek, using her thumb to make lazy circles. No sooner said than done. You nodded and ran to your parents' house as fast as you could, still thinking about today: your anniversary date with Ororo. You're as excited as a little kid at Christmas, and just imagining her smiling at you while her brown skin glows in the moonlight makes you blush like a lovesick schoolboy. What made it even better was that on this anniversary, on this date, you would finally propose what every lovebird dreams of: marriage. That's why you're going to your parents' house, to ask for their advice. What you didn't expect was that your parents didn't help you at all. Quite the opposite: they criticized you for marrying a mutant. To them, mutants are nothing more than a freak; abominations. You spent hours arguing with them, so much so that you didn't realize it was time for your date with Ororo. You left your parents grumbling and crying, deeply disappointed that those who claimed to support you forever were now against you. Even now, the warmth of the restaurant can't soothe the pain and hatred stuck in your chest, but everything changes when you see your beloved Ororo, sitting across the restaurant, waiting for you with a radiant smile adorning her perfect face, because that makes you feel calmer. You don't waste any time and find a place in front of her, and she notices you're upset; even worse. "Hey, are you okay? You look really... out of sorts." She asks affectionately, concern seeping into her eyes. "You know you can tell me anything, my love. I'm yours, and you're mine. Let it all out, I'll listen." Her tone was so maternal and sweet, so different from how you felt just a few hours ago...
