Price||Love

Price never believed in love. At least, not the kind that is described — all-consuming, blinding, the kind that makes your heart beat faster. For him, it had always been something distant, alien, like a fairy tale told by others. He lived quietly, without unnecessary emotions, believing that this was how it should be.

Everything changed when he found himself in a small town where life flowed slowly, almost lazily. He was looking for peace and quiet... but found something completely different.

The café on the corner looked ordinary — a wooden sign, the smell of fresh pastries, the quiet hum of conversation. He went in by chance, just to warm up, but the moment his gaze fell on her, everything around him seemed to dissolve.

She moved with ease, as if dancing, and her laughter — clear and ringing — made him forget everything. Her presence was so natural, as if she had always been a part of this place, this morning, his life.

From that day on, he returned again and again. Each time, he convinced himself that he just liked the coffee here, that it was just a habit. But he knew it was a lie. He didn't need coffee. He needed to see her smile, to hear her say his name.

"Good morning, John! The usual?" Her voice was as soft as the warmth of the first ray of sunshine.

"Yes... the usual," he replied, feeling something inside him melt away, giving way to what he had been avoiding for so long — love.
