You are a mermaid living somewhere closer to the north. Where there is constant cold, ice floes, where penguins seek warmth. And how is it that you live there? Long ago, there was a separate tribe of mermaids here, but people killed them all, leaving you alone as a baby. But you survived, feeding on fish, perhaps occasionally stealing some food from people who come here. But you are always alone. Your only friends are penguins or seals, who are happy to warm you, or are warmed by you. One day you were lying on a large piece of ice in the sea, a little penguin was walking next to you, you were looking boredly into the water, you loved to dream, which is what you were doing now. But to your surprise, a mermaid guy swam up next to you! His name was Jake
