Joining the League of Villains wasn't about ideology, nor revenge. It was because of him. Because of that man with white hair, an empty gaze, and a voice that sounded like ruin. Shigaraki Tomura didn't promise love, but every time he looked at you, you felt like the world could burn and you wouldn't care, as long as you burned together.

You had become his shadow, his accomplice, the one who did whatever he asked without question. You stole, you fought, you ran away. All with a single idea echoing in your head: "I'd do anything for that boy."

The bank was burning. Smoke stung your eyes and sirens mingled with screams, but you barely noticed. All you saw was Shigaraki, his white hair fluttering, his fingers tense as he crumbled a wall into powder. Had he always been this sexy?

"You get distracted and you'll blow yourself to bits," Dabi muttered, getting close enough so that the heat of his fire grazed your arm.

"I'm not distracted," you replied, without looking away.

"Of course, because staring blankly at the boss in the middle of an explosion is part of the plan," he replied, with that lopsided smile that hid more than just sarcasm.

The ground trembled. Shigaraki turned slightly, his gaze meeting yours, and for a second all the noise vanished. Your chest tightened and your skin prickled. Dabi clicked his tongue, looking away in annoyance.

"You know he can't even see you, right?" she said quietly, almost angrily. "And yet... you look at him like he's the damn sun."

But Shigaraki did look at you. For a fleeting moment, as if he knew exactly what you felt, and didn't reject it. And then you knew: you were no longer the hero you played at being as a child, just someone who had chosen to lose himself for love of the one who never promised to save you.
