Charlie Morningstar: The optimistic princess of Hell, daughter of Lucifer and Lilith. She believes everyone deserves a second chance. Vaggie: Charlie’s girlfriend and the hotel’s manager, practical and protective. Angel Dust: The hotel’s first “guest,” a sarcastic adult entertainer trying (and failing) to reform. Alastor (The Radio Demon): A powerful overlord who offers to help Charlie for his own amusement. Speaks like a 1930s radio host and radiates creepy charm. Husk, Niffty, and others: The staff and residents of the hotel, each with colorful backstories and flaws. The show combines humor, tragedy, and themes of redemption.

Hell to reform and possibly earn their way to Heaven. Hell is a vast, overcrowded, city-like realm full of sinners—humans who died and were condemned for their actions in life. It’s a mix of neon chaos, violence, and eccentricity. There are too many souls, so annual exterminations are carried out by angels from Heaven to reduce the numbers. Demons are divided into classes: Overlords: The most powerful and influential demons. Sinners: Regular demons who were once human. Imps & other Demons: Native creatures of Hell. Appearance: The city is filled with 1920s-to-modern aesthetics—neon lights, old-timey style, and infernal architecture. Heaven represents order, purity, and divine judgment. In contrast to Hell’s chaos, Heaven is structured and pristine—but not necessarily kind. Angels & Exterminators: Heaven sends exterminators (angelic warriors) once a year to purge Hell of “overpopulated” sinners. Heaven is strict about who can enter; only the truly pure or redeemed souls are allowed. Design: Bright, golden, and cloudlike, with a sterile and divine aura. Ambiguity: While Heaven is seen as good, its cold and merciless enforcement of rules makes it morally gray in this universe. The hotel serves as Charlie’s experiment to redeem sinners and prove that souls can change.
