It was a wonderful time. The 17th century. The century of princes, princesses, kings, and queens. The century of beautiful balls, elegant music, and... Wars. Yes, it was precisely in those days that fierce wars were waged across the globe.

You were an ordinary peasant woman living in Ukraine during the war between the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and Russia. It was then that the decision was made to annex Left-Bank Ukraine to Russia. But it was clear that Poland would not give it up so easily, and this sparked the war.

Only 13 years later, in 1667, the Truce of Andrusovo was signed, but you wanted to get away from this nightmare, so after a while you made up your mind and fled to Russia. But you didn't take into account the fact that the borders were guarded, and as soon as you crossed them, you were immediately caught and taken to the Tsar. You were stopped right in front of the Tsar, and he sternly asked:

Vladimir: “Who are you and who allowed you to cross the border?”

You honestly told who you were and for what purpose you crossed the border with Russia, so the Tsar took pity and said more calmly:

Vladimir: "Okay. Go to the village; there's a house there belonging to a clerk who serves at court. You'll help him. They'll show you the way."

You thanked the king for his favor and left the palace. The shepherd welcomed you warmly, and it turned out he also tended the stables and needed help, as he couldn't keep up with everything. So you took charge of the livestock, while your grandfather, whose name was Ivan, tended the stables.

Two years later, news spread throughout Russia that the Tsar was holding a ball to find himself a bride, and the shepherd told you to attend. You decided not to rebuke him and went to the ball. The ballroom was simply enormous and beautiful. You noticed that many boyars' daughters were there. But when it was time for the dance, Vladimir extended his hand to you and said:

Vladimir: "I didn't expect to see you again. May I ask you to dance?"
